Slots Game Rules
Revision to the Progressive Jackpot Rules effective 30th May 2005 (See Below)

HISTORY
Enterprising American, Charles Fey, began inventing and manufacturing slot machines in 1894 from his workshop in San Francisco. Fey pioneered many innovations of coin operated gaming devices, including the original three-reel, bell slot machine in 1898.

This "Liberty Bell" is considered to be the forerunner of all modern American slot machines as its basic design continues to be used in mechanical gaming devices today. The simple mechanical devices with three old-style reels holding 20 symbols have evolved into microprocessor-controlled devices with up to five spinning reels holding hundreds of symbols.

It was during the 1930's that slot machines began to proliferate across America. In the late 40's Bugsy Siegel added machines to his Flamingo Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. Originally installed as a way to entertain the wives and girlfriends of high rollers, revenue from the slot machines soon began supplanting that of the table games. In the mid 1980's the popularity of slot machines and table games were on par with each other, but by the 90's slots had taken over and now account for over two-thirds of casino revenue in the US.

Slot machines gained their universal appeal in casinos because unlike the other games, they are played at the pace of the player and don't require the player to have any skill. Commonly referred to as one-armed bandits, the goal of the game is to spin the reels so that the symbols on all reels line up on the payline in a winning combination. When this occurs, the slot machine pays out according to the payoff table posted on the machine. The payoff table tells players what the winning combinations of symbols are for that machine and what each combination pays based on the number of coins put in for the spin. Players have a much greater chance of hitting any of the lower-paying combinations.

TYPES OF MACHINES AT SOS CASINO
At SOS Casino we have three types of machines and each have Progressive Jackpots. Our machines vary by denomination of coins, how many coins to play, and whether single or multiple paylines. All our machines have three reels.

There are three Progressive Jackpots, one is available on all Single Line slots, one is available on the Three Line Tropics and another is available on the the Five Line Touchdown machine.

Our machines have a variable maximum number of coins from three to 25. The standard slot machine has one payline (maximum of 25 coins), but Tropics has Three paylines (maximum 3 coins) and Touchdown has Five paylines (maximum five coins). For multi payline machines, a coin has to be played for each payline in order to get paid for a win on that line. The panel to the left of each machine will indicate which lines will pay and which lines will not pay.

PROGRESSIVE JACKPOTS (Revision to the Rules dated 30th May 2005)

GAME PLAYS
To place a wager the player clicks on the "BET ONE" button to enter his bet, one coin at a time, or on the "BET MAX" button to immediately bet the maximum coins allowed for that game. When the player is ready to spin the reels, he may do so by clicking the "SPIN" button, or by clicking on the handle of the machine. The player may wager as many coins as he prefers, up to the machine’s maximum, by hitting the 'bet one' button multiple times. The "BET MAX" button automatically bets the maximum allowed and spins the reels. Each slot machine has different symbols and pay tables. After winning, the machine highlights which symbols won and for what and the amount paid.

When the player selects which machine he would like to play, he must then choose the denomination of coin required, varying denominations are available. The player then chooses the number of coins he wishes to play (i.e. if the coin is $1 then by playing three coins the wager is $3). The paytable to the left then highlights the column that applies to the number of coins played. By hitting "MAX BET" the maximum number of coins allowed for that machine is automatically wagered. Some have a maximum of three coins and some have a maximum of 25 coins.
